We like to fish this lake early in the spring, April or May. This is because later the weeds start to grow. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and in the fishing regulations it says that there are also pike. We usually fish from the island but there are numerous spots along the shore to fish from. There is a boat launch, the lake has a 12 mph speed limit. The fishermen that use this lake come in all kinds, there are the trollers, the belly-boaters who are usually fly fish and like me that mostly still fish with Power Bait. One of the favorite baits is Elephant Brand pink popcorn, believe it or not. In the winter there is also ice-fishing to be done.
