The website at (visit link) tells us:

"Sublette was a section station town for the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, San Juan Branch. Maintenance crews lived here. The town contained a section house, two bunk houses, a coal storage house, a water tower, and a 1000' RR siding. All structures still exist except the water tower which was removed in 1937. The D&RG RR operated this branch during the years 1880-1967. Submitted by: Douglas Matthes "

When you take a train trip on the Combres and Toltek scenic railroad, the train will stop here, but you can't get off the train. A good view of the remanining buildings can be had from the observation car, though.
