On the sign are details of different walks around Sawtry including the Farm Labourers Walk, Medieval Walk, Ancient Woods Walk, Wildlife & Views Walk, The Jubilee Walk and Fenland Walk.

With the details about the walks are many illustrations of the local flora and fauna. There are pheasants, green woodpecker, muntjac deer, chiff-chaff, common toad, butterfly, grey heron, rook, fish and bat. Flora includes horse chestnut, wild service tree and other wildflowers.

Sawtry is surrounded by some varied habitat with Aversley Wood, Archer's Wood and Sawtry Fen all accessible to explore.
