This marker is located on a boulder, like most of the others in this Park...and reads:
"Joliet's first sidewalks were of stone or wood. Stone from
these bluffs were cut and laid on both sides of Bluff Street
which was then 5' wider. Rev. J. H. Prentiss, organizer of
the presbyterian congregation, made his first home nestled
here under the bluffs. This is the last remaining slab from
the sidewalks along early Bluff St. W.J.B.P., Inc."
