The chairlift, with a 2 person seat, takes skiers from an altitude of 1630m up the first level of the Whakapapa Skifield to Hut Flat, a lift of 135m, where they can ski the Hut Flat tows or down the Rockgarden runs, or they are able to board a faster chairlift to the Knoll Ridge cafe level higher up.
The cost of the charlift rides are included in the ski passes prices but sightseers can ride up for the scenic views at a special price.
