Der Abstieg zum Strand wurde 1996 fertiggestellt. Es sind 110m Höhenunterschied und 412 (jetzt 450) Stufen zu überwinden, um an den Strand zu gelangen. Der Weg ist sehr anstrengend. Achtung! Absturz- und Rutschgefahr! Betreten auf eigene Gefahr! Kein Winterdienst.
Der Königsstuhl ist der berühmteste Kreidefelsvorsprung der Stubbenkammer im Nationalpark Jasmund auf der Ostseeinsel Rügen. Er liegt 118 m ü. NN. Die Treppe beginnt in der Nähe des Nationapark Zentrums und kann kostenlos benutzt werden.

The descent to the beach was completed 1996. There are 387 feet vertical drop and 412 (now 450) steps to reach the beach. The trail is very strenuous. Attention! Crash and slippery! Enter at your own risk! No winter maintenance.
The "Königsstuhl" is the most famous chalk cliff in the Jasmund national park on the Baltic island Ruegen. It lies 387 feet above sea level. The staircase begins near the center of the Nationapark and can be used free.
