Joliet's Bicentennial park is bounded on one side by a river...and another by bluffs which were once mined. This fauna sign informs us of the fossil life to be found in the rocks and is entitled "LIFE IN THE ROCKS". It indicates that this area was once 20 degrees below the equator...and examples of sealife found are trilobites, sponges, snails, corals, clams, etc.
