The “Vapeurbridge” is a old vertical lift bridge over the Moervaart.

[Nl] De Vapeurbrug is de vierde brug over de Moervaart in Moerbeke-Waas. Deze brug verschilt in type van de 3 andere bruggen. Deze brug, een oude spoorwegbrug over de Moervaart, stond in voor de doorgang van de stoomtreinen op de verdwenen lijn 77A Lokeren-Moerbeke-Waas, daarom ‘Vapeurbrug’genoemd.
Het is verticale hefbrug.
Bruggenhoofden: landhoofden waarvan één in beton en één in baksteenmetselwerk. Pijler eveneens in baksteenmetselwerk. Val met rijdek (hout) opgehangen aan bovenbouw: onderling gekoppelde heftorens bestaande uit geklonken open vakwerkbalken op betonnen voeten. Bovenop de heftorens zijn vrij zware kabelschijven opgesteld. Versterkte verbindingen tussen heftorens en kabelschijflageringen met geklonken hoekprofielen. De contragewichten bewegen buiten de heftorens. Valconstructie met hoofdliggers met volle lijfplaten.
Brug uit het interbellum, hersteld en gedeeltelijk vernieuwd ca 1945 na oorlogsschade.
Is ook zoals de andere bruggen over de Moervaart geklasseerd als monument in 2001 .
[En] The Vapeurbridge is the fourth bridge over the Moervaart in Moerbeke-Waas. This bridge is different in type from the three others . This bridge, an old railway bridge, was responsible for the passage of the steam trains on the disappeared line 77A Lokeren – Moerbeke-Waas. Therefore she was called “Vapeurbridge”.
This is a vertical lift bridge.
Bridgeheads: abutments one concrete the other brick masonry.Pillar also brick masonry. Trap car deck ( wood) suspended superstructure interconnected lifting portals comprising open lattice beams riveted on concrete bases. On top of the heavy lifting portals are free sheaves drawn. Strengthened links between lifting portals and pulley bearings with riveted angles. Valconstructie with main beams with full body panels.
Bridge from the interbellum period, restored and partly renewed at the end of 1945 after war damage.
Is like the other bridges over the Moervaart classified as a monument in 2001.
