Through his work as a real estate broker, newspaper columnist and local cable TV host, P. Seth Magosky had become a walking compendium of historical data on hundreds of buildings in Joliet.

"He loved everything about Joliet--the people, the neighborhoods and all its history," said his brother, Cean. "He was passionate about the city and he knew it inside and out."

The City of Joliet website (visit link) adds this about the Festival which apparently occurs annually in December:

"Live shows tell of Gnome lore, while the lobby fills with "gnomemade" treasures. Get your Gnome cap here! Tickets $5."
