The 27 mile long Mesa Falls Scenic Byway begins at Ashton, Idaho on U.S. Hwy. 20 and follows Idaho Hwy. 47 northeasterly to the Bear Gulch area where the Idaho Hwy. 47 becomes F.S. Route 294 which trends northwesterly until it rejoins U.S. Hwy. 20 near Island Park. The main attractions of the route are Upper and Lower Mesa Falls.
