"Abstract "cookie cutter" shapes of a sun bursting out of clouds supported by vertical steel beam. In front of the beam is another shape suggesting the earth and trees.
This sculpture sits on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana. It is on the southwest side of the campus off of University Blvd. near the Rice Library.
Jim Greer made the sculpture from painted steel in 1974.
The sculpture has stood the test of time well. There seems to be no visible signs of damage or foul play on the piece. It is enjoyed by many students as they round campus!
