The Henry’s Fork (of Snake River) begins from Henry’s Lake about 35 miles to the north. The source was originally a small natural lake and large meadow area. A dam was place on it in 1923 raising the lake level by 17 feet and greatly increasing the size of the lake. Between the source and this confluence with Warm River, the Henry’s Fork drops over 1200 feet.
The Warm River begins about 20 miles to the north northeast and drops about 1100 feet to reach the confluence.
The coordinates for the confluence are on the north side of the Henry’s Fork across from the mouth of Warm River. The parking coordinates are at the bridge a tenth of a mile downstream from the confluence. The bridge actually provides the best overview of the confluence.
