On the road to the visitor center at Pinnacle Mountain State Park there is a side road that leads down to the Big Maumelle River where you will find a boat ramp, fishing pier, pavilion and restrooms. There is good fishing in the Big Maumelle River and the fishing pier is handicapped accessible. There is no charge for fishing. The pier is inside the state park which closes one hour after sunset so allow yourself time to exit the park by closing time.
