Built in 1935 by Pete Johansen, a resident of the area. It was used until 1946, when students began attending Mountain View School. It is cared for, and maintained by, the Soap Creek Schoolhouse Foundation. The information in this listing has been obtained from their website. It is now used for meetings and rental events. The schoolhouse is also listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
