The White Horse could be a link to Kent or Wessex! But is that likely here?
As a heraldic device, the white horse has a link to Kent - a long way from here. It was also used as a symbol by the Kings of Wessex. And of course, those in the "equine know" would not refer to a white horse at all! They would call it a grey since a true white horse would be albino and have pink eyes. Here it may well be a farming reference sine there is no white horse cut into the hills anywhere near.
