This fair has remarkable attendance--despite the lack of carnival rides and a midway. It's all about the 4H-ers! The animal barns are full, the exhibits are well displayed, the food is great and the business tent does a great business. There is a stage for occasional entertainment. The fair is typically held at the end of July and is one of the later county fairs in the state. Don't let the lack of an entrance sign be a deterrent--the grounds take a full city block and is located next to Hiers Park on Briant Street.
