"Solano County's first fair opened May 24, 1930.
At this fair a Hudson Sedan, an overseas trip and diamond rings were lavish prizes offered for the Belles of Solano popularity contest as well as a contest for a signature song. The winning song was Belle of Solano - Song of Golden West."
