I couldn't find any information about what business was established in 1860. However the business was established by Frederick Hall & the building was purchased by Henry Carrington Blackburn in 1874 & remains in that family. The newsagency sells all local, Sydney & the national newspaper as well as magazines. It also sells lotteries, cards, a range of household goods, bread & milk, has a key cutting business & cold drinks, lollies & icecreams. Almost a mixed business!
