Located in southeastern Idaho, just six miles south of Malad City on northbound Interstate 15, the Cherry Creek Visitor Center is a thoughtfully designed, handicap accessible rest area complete with restrooms, vending machines, picnic tables and shelters, pathways, spacious lawns, native grasses, wild flowers, trees, and parking lots capable of handling any size RV.

And that's the good part... and now, the rest of the story.

CHERRY CREEK, ID: REST AREA/INFO CENTER
Researched by Ghosts of Idaho

More than just restrooms and travel information welcomes you at this rest area. Lone visitors after dark have felt a strong presence that greets them the second they walk through the door. The visitor then feels that they are followed everywhere they go inside the main building.

Notes

I have stopped at this rest area on numerous occasion while traveling between Pocatello, ID and Salt Lake City, UT. During daylight hours I have never felt any presence, after dark however the presence becomes very strong. When I first enter the building I have the feeling that someone is there. The presence rapidly becomes stronger and will follow you around. Outside the building the presence can barely be felt and seems to confine itself to inside. Although I can feel the presence when I am with others it is much stronger when I am alone. I have mentioned this location to others and was suprised at how many others had experienced similar things at this reat area.

Comment: I have stopped there many times since my job required me to travel through there quite a bit on my way to Salt Lake City. In the daytime it is rather unremarkable. At night it is a whole other matter. I don't like going in there at night, especially into the restroom? There is an intense negative feeling like someone or something is stalking you or wants to hurt you? I felt an icy cold breeze in there one time. I have not been back there in a while now? I am a Catholic and crossed myself whenever I went in there, especially after dark? If I had to guess I would say there is a negative or demonic spirit in there? It's unusual though for a person to feel something like that? Definitely worse than being in a graveyard at night!
