This Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel (#49) was built in 1919 and was used at Clementon Lake in Clementon, NJ until 1997. It was then obtained by the Louisville Zoo. The carousel is currently operating with a mixture of fiberglass copies of original PTC horses and new wood carvings. Outside row fiberglass horses replaced with wood menagerie endangered species including 2 Elephants, 1 Frog, 2 Giraffes, 2 Bears and a butterfly. There are 28 Jumping Horses and 2 chariots. There is no band organ.
