The Claremont Legion serves the surrounding community, not only the veterans. They offer a banquet hall and regular entertainment for everyone in the area. I also noticed a well organized horseshoe pitch at the rear of the parking area, they must have quite a tournament here.
The monument itself is a white stone memorial, carrying hte names of those lost from this community.
