In Cambridge, next to the more well known Mt. Auburn Cemetery, is the Cambridge Cemetery, which has a sizable portion reserved for the burial of veterans. Hundreds of veterans are buried there, arranged by the war they fought in.

The entrance to the cemetery is off Coolidge Avenue, on the border with Watertown. Immediately to the left is the veterans area, while immediately to the right is the office, with a large map. Parking is allowed along the paved road.

I could not find a specific date that either the whole cemetery or the veteran's portion was established; however, war sections go back to the Civil War, which happened from 1861 to 1865. It would be a good guess that graves would have been laid soon after the end of the Civil War. Other sections include the Spanish-American War, World War I, World War II, and the Korean-Vietnam Wars. Graves are being made up to the present. Within each section are at one or more war memorial markers, each having a different style.

The Cambridge Cemetery is located at 76 Coolidge Avenue, Cambridge, MA, 02138.
Date cemetery was established: unknown
