The first school was a log one-room schoolhouse built on land donated by Samual Ware in early 1850. The school building was replaced with a frame structure that served until 1915. The present structure was built at that time. Electric lights were added in 1928. The Ware School continued until 1958 when it consolidated with the Waupaca Unified School District. It was sold on May 14, 1974 for $2000. and is now used as a home
