The post is a somewhat inactive post. It succeeds yearly in getting 100 percent of membership but only participates in serving as honor guard for military funerals.
Belvidere is a town in Jackson County, South Dakota, with a population of 49 at the 2010 census. It is located on Interstate 90 just east of Kadoka.
One of its claims to fame is that Governor Tom Berry, the 14th Governor of South Dakota, was from Belvidere.
Old US Highway 16 passes through the town, and when I-90 was constructed, the tourists zoomed by the town, causing it to decline to where it is today.
As can be expected, there is very little commerce supporting the town.
