Th Swiss Alpine Museum deals with the Alps. This starts with scientific aspects, geology, tectonics, weather, glaciers, flora, fauna, cartography and survey.
Social and historic aspects are covered with exhibits about history of settlement, alpine agriculture, folklore, development and landscape changes, traffic, alpinism, tourism and winter sports, ways of damaging and protecting the Alps.
Besides the original exhibits there are also paintings and prints with Alpine motifs on display.
