The table is made from stainless steel and is difficult to see in the morning when the sun is reflecting from it. The view is etched into the steel and the etching was filled with black paint. This has now faded in most areas.
The view from the table is to he north west along Waterloo Place. Marked on the table are the numerous statues of famous historical people and some of the beautiful buildings that surround Waterloo Place.
The table was unveiled by Lady Stirling on 13th June 1990. Lady Stirling was the wife of the P&O Chairman with P&O sponsoring this table.
