This relief depicts a ceramic tile wheel with wings against a checkered background.
According to these websites (visit link) and (visit link) , the building used to be an automobile showroom and was originally constructed in the 1920s.
The facade was preserved when a new building was constructed for joint use of this Whole Foods store and the Chicago Gay & Lesbian Center.
