The Boer War memorial in Goulburn, stands in Belmore Park
between Montague Street and Market Street.
It was unveiled in November 1904.
The plaque reads:
ERECTED
TO
PERPETUATE THE
MEMORY OF SOLDIERS
FROM
GOULBURN & DISTRICT
WHO SERVED
IN THE BOER WAR
1899 1902
Names of the officers are listed on the southern face, troopers on the northern face.
The dead are listed on the easten face with the inscription:
"FOR LOVE OF THE MOTHERLAND, THAT GREW WITH YEARS, AND FALTERED NOT IN DEATH."
"Soon rested, those who fought".
