After the courthouse bell was removed from its tower in 1965, it was given a new home atop a concrete pedestal on the courthouse lawn.
No plaque, but cast into the bell is the inscription, "Clinton H. Meneely Bell Company, Troy, N.Y. U.S.A. A.D. 1887."
