The sign consists of the two most important landmarks in Widdington. In the background is the parish church of the Virgin Mary. In front of the church is Prior’s Hall Barn, one of the largest medieval barns in the South East of England. In the foreground are two monks from the priory gathering in the harvest for storage in the barn.

The post for the sign has 2000 carved on it, presumably indicating that the sign was erected for the millennium.
