St John's Hospital for Diseases of the Skin
The Hospital management committee purchased this building, a house in the red light district of Soho, for £25,000. Alterations began to the building in the summer of 1935, estimated to cost £8,000, and the Hospital moved in at the end of the year.

The new premises opened to patients on 1st January 1936. The building had been so planned that the patients - some 1000 a week, could be dealt with rapidly. By 1938 the number attending had risen to 65,798.

The hospital closed in 1989.
