Church Street in Evesham no longer contains a church. However it does contain the porch of St Peter's Church which is now celebrated with this blue plaque. Opposite the porch is the 1,000 year old Bengeworth Manor, dating back to King Canute.

Church Street in Evesham no longer contains a church. However it does contain the porch of St Peter's Church which is now celebrated with a blue plaque.

After visiting the plaque, turn through 180 degrees, to see the oldest surviving building in Bengeworth. Now a private house, this used to be Bengeworth Manor. It does not have a blue plaque, but there is a list of former owners (so far as they are known) on the wall of the Manor. They date back to King Canute, of holding back the tide fame, almost 1,000 years ago.
