The Daniel Payne House was built in the early 19th century.  The 2-story masonry house has double-end chimneys.  The house has a Victorian porch which was aded at a later date.  The house is noted for its fine masonry work.  The earliest known owner of the house was Clarissa Loomis who sold it to Daniel Payne, a farmer,  in 1855.  The house is well maintained and continues to serve as a single family home.
