The Museu do Regimento de Sapadores Bombeiros de Lisboa is a museum dedicated to the Firefighters.

It´s origins date from 1929 when a modernization process led to the replacement of several vehicles with animal traction were replaced by new motor vehicles.

The new vehicles allowed a faster movement of firemans during the rescuing and also reduced the number of persons involved in the operations.

Several of this old vehicles were kept in the firemans quarters all around the city of Lisbon and when the ideia of the museum was set in motion there was a valuable asset composed of several tipes of firefighting carts, cars, trucks, towables and transportables as well as miniatures, equipment, bombs and fire extinguishers, communication systems, uniforms, materials and tools and many other objects that were part of the firefighters and their history.

Part of this asset is now displayed in the new RSB Museum located in the quarter of the 3rd Batallion of RSB Firefighters near Colombo Shopping Centre.
