US Highway 36 was one of the first US Highways designated in 1926. To accommodate this relatively new form of transportation, New York Central constructed this steel and concrete railroad bridge over US Highway 36 in 1938.

Even after years of wind, sun, rain, snow, and generations of graffiti artists, the name of the now defunct New York Central Railroad can still be seen - especially on the east side of the bridge.

CSX currently owns and maintains this bridge.
