This granite memorial is located in the circle near the entrance to Fairview Cemetery in Pleasantville, PA. The monument was arected in 1890 by Aaron Benedict Post No. 429 Grand Army of the Republic.

The inscription reads:

To the memory of the soldiers and sailors who gave their lives in defence of the Union
1861 - 1865

Pleasantville, PA 1890
