The Millennium Sculpture stands over a time capsule placed in 1999.

A stainless steel pyramid atop four granite posts looks very much like a steeple; inside the pyramid is a pendulum gong.

The intent of the whole is to represent the passage of time.

PHYSICAL LOCATION:
Northeast corner of City Hall Park, which itself is part of a district listed on the National Register of Historic places.

DIFFERENCES NOTED BETWEEN THE INVENTORY LISTING AND YOUR OBSERVATIONS AND RESEARCH:
IAS listing says 1990. Burlington City Arts website says 1999. The latter makes more sense, considering the title of the piece, plus the fact that the time capsule is to be opened in 2099 and every 100 years thereafter.
