A public beach on the cardigan bay coastline, Borth is an impressive 3 miles of rock and sand beach-line where many different rocks can be found.
Walking along I spotted many different types of sandstones, granites, slates, quartz (Some with flecks of gold) some basalts and a few I don't know the names of (see gallery).
You can also visit the fossilised quarry at the north end of the beach at low tide. Although some of it only dates from 6500 years ago, it had hardened very well.
