These two Nordic characters sit outside of the small World's Best Donuts in Grand Marais, MN. Grand Marais is a small city on the shores of Lake Superior in northeastern MN just 40 miles from the Canadian border. The shop is small, seats bout 15 people at 5 or 6 booths. Grand Marais may be small but there is a waiting line to get these donuts, and folks start lining up at 4:00 AM.
These two characters, one being Skizzle, which is a fried pastry that looks like a big elephant ear, warm with warm sugar, it is worth waiting in line for. The other advertises coffee.
