This station, a CT Highway Department standard highway boundary mark, is located in Clinton, CT. It is set in a concrete post, flush with the ground, at the corner of Boston Post Road (U.S. Rt.1) and a driveway leading to the Clinton Motel. It is 52-ft northwest from the center of an intersection with CT Rt.145, 44-ft north from the center of Post Road, 11.5-ft east from the center of the driveway, and 3.5-ft north from a sidewalk.
The disk was in poor condition as found; it has been struck by various forms of equpment over time, and the 'A' stamping has been obliterated. The Power Squadron claims that this mark was replaced, but there is no obvious evidence that it was. This mark is typical in size and shape for a CHD mark, and looks as though it has been in place for decades. Everything here fits the NGS description.
