Ya just gotta love these old pre-plumbing privys. This one is a two seater that, although the door is open, doesn’t look too hospitable. Fortunately the tomato cages stored in there are easily moved when needed. This outhouse is located in “downtown” Granite, IA on the Old Threshers grounds. There are several cleaner, more modern non-flushing type facilities available nearby for the public’s use.
Location:
The town of Granite used to be a much larger farming community but is now just a handful of houses and one big celebration each year. They have done a good job of restoring or rebuilding some structures to show what life was like many years ago.
