Historic Preservation series. This stamp features a Cable Car in San Francisco overlooking the Maritime Historic District with a three masted sailing ship in the background.
I searched for an approximate setting where a cable car could be seen on a hill with a sailing ship in the background. I found the Powell-Hyde Street Line offered a pretty close view to the stamp.
