The original Statue of Liberty stands on an island in New York City harbor. It is made of a copper exterior over an iron core. It was a joint project between France and the United States. The Jasper replica is a sliver painted casting, probably iron. The statue is about 8 ft tall and stands on a three-step concrete pedistal. The replica is located in the parking lot of VFW Post 4850. The uploaded picture of the original was taken during our visit there in 2008.
