Two large mausoleums are located directly west of the Redwood Memorial Mortuary. On the southeast corner of the north mausoleum, this relief art sculpture of Abraham Lincoln, with an inscription from Abraham Lincoln, which reads:
I CANNOT CONCEIVE HOW ANYONE COULD LOOK UP INTO THE HEAVENS AND SAY THERE IS NO GOD
This from a larger quote attributed to Abraham Lincoln:
I can see how it might be possible for someone to look around on earth and not believe in God, but I cannot conceive how anyone could look up into the heavens and say there is no God.
