A stunning piece of 3d mosaic art. It looks like it has been set into a piece of wood, the pieces are tiles that have been hammered in sideways like a splinter into or finger.

The piece is beautiful, and depicts a number of scenes from the Roman history of Chester, a guard at the doors of a temple (one being a stones throw from here) another showing the roman entry to the UK by boat.
