Three small walls surround this fire hydrant on Montgomery Street at the crossover between the Lower Filbert Stairway and the Upper Filbert Stairway. The three walls and flooring surrounding the hydrant are painted with a mural tribute to a poodle, owned by the donor's husband. A plaque mounted on the concrete curb reads:
|
After adoringly befriending Dr. Bob Major, "Ginger" became
"office dog" and vice-president of public relations for her
master. Despite having flunked biting in training school,
one can plainly see that this apricot teacup poodle is
definitely destined for reading success.
