The Honker Lake Trail, like the Woodland Walk Trail, begins and ends at the LBL Nature Station and winds around beautiful Honker Lake through a variety of habitats, including forests, meadows, and the lakes edge. The trail is a perfect example of the type of moderate hiking you will find in the Land Between the Lakes, but it is only 4.5 miles. The result is a great hike that you can complete in fairly short order. No doubt your hike will include a visit of the Giant Canada Geese that reside around the lake. They are, after all, why the trail is called Honker.
