DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1968 (ELH) THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 4 MILES SOUTH-SOUTHEAST OF WRIGHTSVILLE, 3-1/2 MILES NORTHWEST OF YOUNGSVILLE, 2 MILES NORTH OF PITTSVILLE AND 40 YARDS NORTH OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A PENELEC POWER LINE RIGHT-OF-WAY. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF U.S. HIGHWAY 6 AND STATE HIGHWAY 27 IN YOUNGSVILLE, GO WEST ON U.S. HIGHWAY 6 FOR 2.35 MILES TO A CROSSROAD JUST BEFORE CROSSING A SMALL BRIDGE, TURN RIGHT AND GO NORTH ON A GRAVELED ROAD FOR 2.45 MILES TO THE AZIMUTH MARK ON THE RIGHT AT THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE POWER LINE RIGHT-OF-WAY, CONTINUE NORTH FOR 50 YARDS TO THE NORTH SIDE OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY AND END OF TRUCK TRAVEL. PACK WEST, ALONG THE NORTH SIDE OF THE RIGHT-OF-WAY FOR 70 YARDS THEN NORTH INTO THE WOODS FOR 15 YARDS TO THE STATION. THE STATION MARK IS 83 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE POWER LINE RIGHT-OF-WAY, 24 FEET WEST OF A 12 INCH TREE WITH A TRIANGULAR BLAZE, 19 FEET EAST-SOUTHEAST OF A 10 INCH TREE WITH A TRIANGULAR BLAZE AND 5.5 FEET NORTH-NORTHEAST OF A METAL WITNESS POST. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 1 INCH AND IS STAMPED PITT 1967. REFERENCE MARK NO. 1 IS 87.6 FEET NORTHEAST OF THE METAL WITNESS POST AND 32 FEET WEST-SOUTHWEST OF A 24 INCH TREE WITH A TRIANGULAR BLAZE. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 3 INCHES AND IS STAMPED PITT NO 1 1967. REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 80.5 FEET WEST OF THE METAL WITNESS POST, 70 FEET EAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF A TRACK ROAD AND 66 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE POWER LINE RIGHT-OF-WAY. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 3 INCHES AND IS STAMPED PITT NO 2 1967. THE AZIMUTH MARK IS 16 FEET EAST OF THE APPROXIMATE CENTER OF THE GRAVELED ROAD, 2.5 FEET SOUTH OF POWER LINE POLE NO. 4A9581 AND 2.5 FEET NORTH OF A METAL WITNESS POST. IT IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE MONUMENT PROJECTING 3 INCHES AND IS STAMPED PITT 1967.
