These two time capsules are located in the Adair City Park near the Jesse James monument. One is listed as a 1972 Centennial time capsule to be opened in 2072. The other is a 1997 time capsule to be opened in 2097. The latter was buried on the 125th birthday of the community, and the stone was donated by Winterset Monument and Calvin Heater. The city park is just off of the main street on the south edge of town.
