Mount Fairview is an a tough hike/climb from the Lake Louise parking lot at 6000 feet to the summit at 9000 feet. It is well worth the climb, as the view is unparalleled.

This is a five kilometer trek to reach the summit of Mount Fairview, in Banff National Park, Canada. You climb 3000 feet in about three kilometers. Sorry for mixing feet and kilometers.
The first two kilometers is an easy trek gaining 2000 feet of elevation. The final 1000 feet is a steep shale covered trail that crosses back and forth.
We climbed this mountain a few years back because it was the next challenge in our Lake Louise Hikes.
The view from up here is fantastic, it is not often you get to one of the peaks in the Canadian Rockies.
